(Episodes)

We belive that one of the radio’s most defining traits is the unrepeatable, unrecoverable moment of a listener’s encounter with a sound, a song, a note...

Episode #30
Balearic, Slow Disco, Funky
Warm balearic vibes, something between soft rock, blue-eyed soul and synth-pop, adding some funky touches here and there to give the whole mix a much more electrofunk flavour. Tempo is down and that's how we like on India Street Radio!

Episode #29
International, Jazz / Funk, Bossa Nova
Episode 29 would feel like a brief travel around the world with track from Brazil, Japan, LA, Middle Est & Africa. We begin our travels with a track from Sonic Youths soft chords rising up which then fades into a psychedelic bossa-nova tune. We carry the jazzy funky vibes throughout the course of the journey digging through unknown cuts from all over the world.

Episode #28
Balearic, Downtempo, Jazz/Funk, Fusion
Episode 28 joins the dots between jazz-funk, fusion, boogie and '80s soul. Find here some Dayton style early '80s jazz-funk and drowsy new age ambient/jazz fusion, synthesizer-powered '80s smoothness and horizontal bliss as "Trouble In Paradise".

Episode #27
Downtempo - Soul - Cosmic Funk - Nujazz - Italian Disco
Our latest episodes recorded live from Halcyon the Shop in Brooklyn. Opened its doors in 1999 in a small shop in Brooklyn, Halcyon became an institution in the Brooklyn music environment selling a wide variety of vinyl records from dance, jazz, funk, soul, techno.
India street Radio is proud to streem from the brand new Halcyon location a fine selection of downtempo balearic, nujazz, electrofunk and disco gems with a touch of Italian vibe.

Episode #26
Cosmic Funk - Acid Funk - Boogie - Nudisco
Episode 26 seems collect dusted gems from an 80s records stores but is in fact a modern construction focusing on the talented Periodica crew. These Italian producers have more than proved their knack for crafting sublime, honey-smooth jams with a nod to the golden studio era of the 70s and 80s, heavy funking jams with a dose of boogie and a nod to Ivory Coast disco.
If you enjoyed the loose, warm and organic musical fusions of Italian outfits Nu Guinea and Mystic Jungle, we'd recommend checking out this Episode. Similar influences - think jazz, jazz-funk, dusty deep house, Afro-cosmic, Balearica and boogie, for starters - rely on intage synthesizer sounds, live and programmed drums, jazz-friendly brass instruments and elastic bass guitar. Eclectic, emotive and atmospheric, a superb set.
